Lipomas

What are lipomas?

Lipomas are benign tumors of fatty tissue. They consist of mature fat cells and usually develop slowly directly under the skin. Lipomas can essentially occur anywhere on the body, but are particularly common on the shoulders, back, neck, upper arms, or thighs.

They usually feel soft, are easily movable, and generally cause no pain. They are often discovered by chance or are considered bothersome for cosmetic reasons.

How do lipomas develop?

The exact cause of lipoma formation is not yet fully understood. Various factors are discussed, including:

• Genetic predisposition

• Age-related changes in fatty tissue

• Family history

• Rarely, injuries or local tissue changes

Lipomas are almost always benign and usually grow slowly. Nevertheless, any new or rapidly growing tissue swelling should be examined by a doctor to rule out other causes.

Calcarea fluorica

Calcarea fluorica is a homeopathic remedy made from calcium fluoride – a natural mineral found, among other places, in bones and tooth enamel. According to the regulations of the Homöopathisches Arzneibuch (Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia), the starting substance is potentized and processed into homeopathic medicines.

Thuja occidentalis (Western Red Cedar) belongs to the cypress family and is originally native to North America. For the production of homeopathic medicines, fresh twigs and leaves are processed and potentized according to the specifications of the Homöopathisches Arzneibuch (Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia).
