Mastalgia – Breast Pain and Tenderness "Support" Homeopathy according to Dr. Banerji

Dr. Banerji Protocols

Mastalgia – Breast Pain and Fullness

Mastalgia refers to pain, tenderness, or feelings of tension in the breast. The symptoms can affect one or both breasts and can be constant or recurring.

Breast pain is particularly common when it is cyclical and associated with hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle. However, breast pain can also occur independently of the cycle.

How does mastalgia develop?

A fundamental distinction is made between cyclical and non-cyclical mastalgia.

In cyclical mastalgia, fluctuations in female sex hormones play an important role. Symptoms often increase in the second half of the menstrual cycle and improve with or after the onset of menstruation.

Possible causes and contributing factors include:

  • hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle

  • premenstrual syndrome (PMS)

  • pregnancy

  • menopause

  • fibrocystic breast changes

  • breast cysts

  • certain hormonal medications

  • breast inflammation

  • injuries or mechanical stress

  • chest wall, muscle, or rib pain perceived as breast pain

What symptoms can occur?

Typical symptoms include:

  • breast fullness

  • tenderness

  • pulling, stabbing, or burning pain

  • swelling sensation

  • sensitivity to touch

  • cycle-dependent hardening or lumpy sensation

  • pain in one or both breasts

Mastalgia and Breast Cancer

Breast pain alone is only rarely the typical first sign of breast cancer. Nevertheless, new, persistent, or unilateral symptoms should be medically evaluated, especially if a lump or other breast changes occur at the same time.

Diagnosis and Treatment

The evaluation depends on age, symptoms, and palpation findings. In addition to a breast examination, ultrasound or mammography may be necessary depending on the situation.

Treatment depends on the cause. For cycle-dependent symptoms, a well-fitting bra, heat or cold, and suitable painkillers can already be helpful. In cases of severe symptoms or an underlying disease, further targeted treatments may be necessary.

Homeopathy according to Dr. Banerji

In homeopathy according to Dr. Banerji, specific homeopathic remedies and potencies are used according to the Banerji protocols for various illnesses and symptoms.

The specific effectiveness of homeopathic remedies for mastalgia is not scientifically proven. Therefore, new or persistent breast symptoms should not be treated exclusively with homeopathy, but should be medically evaluated if necessary.

Important Note

A newly appearing lump, retractions or changes in the skin or nipple, bloody discharge, a unilateral persistent change, or a red, warm, and severely painful breast should be examined by a doctor promptly.
