Lupus Erythematosus with Joint Inflammation – Autoimmune Disease with Arthritis and Joint Pain

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease. In this condition, the immune system attacks the body's own structures and can cause inflammation in various organs and tissues.

Joint pain and joint inflammation (arthritis) are among the most common symptoms of lupus. In addition to the joints, other affected areas can include the skin, kidneys, blood vessels, blood, heart, lungs, and nervous system.

Joint Involvement in Lupus

• Deterioration of kidney function

Therefore, regular blood and urine tests are important for systemic lupus.

Diagnosis

The diagnosis is made based on symptoms, clinical findings, and various laboratory tests.

• Complement factors C3 and C4

• Blood count

A positive ANA value alone does not automatically mean that systemic lupus is present.
