Allergic Rash – Allergic Skin Reactions

An allergic rash occurs when the immune system overreacts to a normally harmless substance. Depending on the type of allergic reaction, redness, itching, hives, swelling, blisters, or eczema-like skin changes may occur.

Allergic skin reactions can be limited to a specific body area or affect larger skin areas or the entire body.

Typical Symptoms

Depending on the cause and type of reaction, the following may occur:
