Areas of application:
Nicorette gums are used for smoking cessation, both for smokers who want to quit smoking and for those who want to reduce their cigarette consumption. In addition, they can be used as a temporary measure during periods when smoking is not possible or undesirable. Nicorette 2 mg Icemint gums are suitable for smokers who have smoked less than 20 cigarettes/day.

Recommended use:
Chew a gum when you crave a cigarette. As soon as a strong/peppery taste is felt after about 1 minute, push the gum into your cheek (chewing break). When the taste has subsided again, you can start chewing again. This cycle (chewing/chewing break) can be repeated for approx. 30 minutes until the gum has finally lost its taste. Nicorette 2 mg Icemint gums are suitable for smokers who have smoked less than 20 cigarettes/day. Note: Combination therapy with Nicorette patch (15 mg/16h, 10 mg/16h) is possible.

Composition:
1 gum contains: Active ingredient: 2 mg nicotine as resinate. Other ingredients: Gum base with abrasive properties, xylitol, peppermint oil, anhydrous sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, acesulfame potassium, menthol, light magnesium oxide, winterfresh, hypromellose, sucralose, polysorbate 80, pregelatinized starch, titanium dioxide, carnauba wax.

Recommended dosage for smokers who are highly dependent on tobacco (more than 20 cigarettes per day)

Start of treatment:

Period	2 mg gum
the first 8 weeks	as needed, 5-6 gums per day are recommended
Continuation of treatment
another 2 weeks	as needed
another 2 weeks	as needed
up to 12 months	gradual reduction in gum use
