The CeraVe Brightening Vitamin C Cleanser is a gently exfoliating facial cleanser with vitamin C, niacinamide, salicylic acid, and three essential ceramides. It cleanses the skin thoroughly, removes dead skin cells, and gives dull and uneven skin a fresh, radiant glow.

The stabilized vitamin C derivative supports a more even and radiant complexion. At the same time, niacinamide soothes and cares for the skin, while the contained ceramides help maintain the natural skin barrier.

The cleanser is fragrance-free, paraben-free, and non-comedogenic and cleanses the skin without unnecessarily compromising its natural protective barrier.

Dull and uneven-looking skin can lose its radiance due to, among other things, dead skin cells on the skin's surface. A combination of gentle cleansing and exfoliating active ingredients can help remove dead skin cells and make the complexion appear fresher and more even.

The CeraVe Brightening Vitamin C Cleanser combines cleansing and nourishing ingredients with vitamin C, salicylic acid, and lactic acid. This gently cleanses the skin while exfoliating it at the same time.

Vitamin C

The contained stabilized vitamin C derivative ascorbyl glucoside has antioxidant properties and supports a more radiant and even-looking complexion. Dull skin receives a fresher glow as a result.

Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid supports the removal of dead skin cells and helps to clear clogged pores. This can make the skin appear smoother and more even.

Lactic acid

Lactic acid is one of the alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) and supports the gentle removal of dead skin cells from the skin's surface.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide has skin-conditioning and soothing properties. It supports skin care and complements the exfoliating active ingredients of the formulation.

3 essential ceramides

The contained ceramides NP, AP, and EOP are important components of the natural skin protective barrier. They support the maintenance of the barrier function and help to protect the skin from moisture loss.

Hyaluronic acid & panthenol

Hyaluronic acid supports the skin's hydration. Panthenol also has nourishing and skin-soothing properties.

Application

Dispense a sufficient amount of the CeraVe Brightening Vitamin C Cleanser into wet palms and apply to dampened skin on the face and neck.

Gently massage the cleanser in circular motions for about 1–2 minutes.

Then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Avoid the eye area.

Since exfoliating active ingredients like salicylic acid and lactic acid can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight, a sunscreen with a high SPF, preferably SPF 50, should be applied in the morning after cleansing.

In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water immediately.

For sensitive skin, tolerance should first be tested with less frequent application.

Side effects

When used as intended, the cleanser is generally well tolerated.

Due to the included exfoliating active ingredients such as salicylic acid and lactic acid, temporary dryness, tightness, redness, burning, or mild skin irritation may occur, especially with sensitive skin.

In the event of stronger or persistent skin reactions, the use should be reduced or discontinued.

Avoid contact with eyes. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water immediately.

During the use of exfoliating active ingredients, the skin may be more sensitive to sunlight. Therefore, a sunscreen with a high SPF should be used during the day.

The product should not be used if you have a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
