The CeraVe Blemish Control Gel is a lightweight exfoliating gel with AHA and BHA that specifically targets blemishes, clogged pores, and uneven skin texture. At the same time, it helps prevent post-acne marks and visibly refines the skin's texture.

The combination of 2% salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and lactic acid provides a gentle exfoliating effect. Dead skin cells are removed and clogged pores are cleared. This leaves the skin looking smoother and more even.

Additionally, the formula contains niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and three essential ceramides. These help support hydration, soothe the skin, and contribute to maintaining the natural skin barrier.

Effect & Care

In blemish-prone and acne-prone skin, excess sebum, dead skin cells, and clogged pores can contribute to the development of pimples and blackheads. The CeraVe Blemish Control Gel combines various exfoliating active ingredients to specifically counteract these signs.

2% Salicylic Acid (BHA)

Salicylic acid has keratolytic properties and supports the shedding of dead skin cells. It helps to clear clogged pores and reduce blemishes.

Glycolic Acid & Lactic Acid (AHA)

Glycolic acid and lactic acid support the removal of dead skin cells from the skin surface. As a result, the skin can appear smoother and more even, and the appearance of post-acne marks can be improved.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide has skin-conditioning and soothing properties. It supports the care of blemish-prone skin and complements the exfoliating effect of the included acids.

Application

Use of the CeraVe Blemish Control Gel is preferably recommended in the evening.

First, cleanse the face thoroughly and then apply a thin layer of the exfoliating gel evenly over the skin. Massage gently with circular motions. Avoid the eye area and direct contact with the eyes.

At the beginning, the product should be applied once daily. For sensitive skin or in case of dryness, the frequency of application can be reduced accordingly.

If well tolerated, the application can be increased according to the product instructions.

Since AHA acids can increase the skin's sensitivity to sunlight, a sunscreen with a high SPF should be used consistently during application. Intensive sun exposure should be avoided.

Side Effects

Due to the AHA and BHA acids contained, temporary dryness, tightness, redness, stinging, flaking, or skin irritation may occur, especially at the start of use.

For sensitive skin, it is recommended to start with a lower frequency of application and increase it only if well tolerated.

In case of severe or persistent skin irritation, the application should be reduced or stopped.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water immediately.

During application, the skin may be more sensitive to sunlight. Therefore, a sunscreen with a high SPF should be used during the day.

The product should not be used in case of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
