What is it intended for?

Heumann’s Blasen- und Nierentee Solubitrat® is a non-prescription herbal medicinal product traditionally used for urinary tract complaints.

The tea promotes urination and thereby supports the flushing of the lower urinary tract. The herbal ingredients, goldenrod herb and birch leaves, complement each other in their effects.

Heumann’s Blasen- und Nierentee Solubitrat® can also be used for kidney gravel and for the pre- and post-treatment of urinary stones.

Properties and effect

The special feature of Heumann’s Blasen- und Nierentee Solubitrat® is the concentrated combination of goldenrod herb and birch leaves.

Both plants have long been used traditionally to support the urinary tract.

The herbal ingredients promote urine excretion and thereby support the flushing of the urinary tract.

Goldenrod herb

Goldenrod herb has been used since the Middle Ages as a medicinal plant for bladder and kidney complaints.

It possesses anti-inflammatory and mildly antispasmodic properties and can increase urine excretion. In this way, goldenrod herb supports the flushing of the urinary tract.

Birch leaves

Birch leaves are traditionally used primarily due to their diuretic or urine-promoting properties.

Together with goldenrod herb, they support the flushing of the lower urinary tract and can thus accompany the treatment of corresponding complaints.

In Heumann’s Blasen- und Nierentee Solubitrat®, goldenrod herb and birch leaves are combined so that their properties complement each other during use.

Areas of application

Heumann’s Blasen- und Nierentee Solubitrat® is used to flush the urinary tract.

The tea can be used specifically for complaints associated with the lower urinary tract.

Furthermore, the preparation can be used for kidney gravel as well as for the pre- and post-treatment of urinary stones.

Increased fluid intake supports the flushing of the urinary tract.

Application and dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over should drink 3 to 5 cups of the prepared tea daily, unless otherwise prescribed.

During irrigation therapy, ensure adequate additional fluid intake.

Always use Heumann’s Blasen- und Nierentee Solubitrat® according to the instructions in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

Preparation

Heumann’s Blasen- und Nierentee Solubitrat® is quick and easy to prepare.

Use the enclosed spoon to measure out the intended amount of tea infusion powder and place it in a glass or cup.

Then pour about 150 ml of hot or warm water over the powder.

Due to the good solubility of the tea infusion powder, the tea is ready to drink immediately after preparation. A longer steeping time is not required.

Tips for bladder complaints

Some accompanying measures can be useful for urinary tract complaints.

Keep the lower abdomen warm

As soon as initial symptoms appear, warmth can feel pleasant. A hot water bottle or a cherry stone pillow can be placed on the lower abdomen. Keeping the kidney area warm is also often perceived as pleasant.

Drink enough

During irrigation therapy, adequate fluid intake is particularly important.

Unless fluid intake needs to be restricted for medical reasons, sufficient fluid should be consumed throughout the day. In addition to the tea, water is particularly suitable.

Empty the bladder regularly

Even if urinating can be uncomfortable with complaints, the bladder should be emptied regularly and as completely as possible.

The combination of adequate fluid intake and regular bladder emptying supports the flushing of the urinary tract.

Who is it suitable for?

Heumann’s Blasen- und Nierentee Solubitrat® is intended for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.

In children under 12 years of age, the preparation should only be used according to the information in the package leaflet or after consultation with a doctor.

Important notes

Ensure adequate fluid intake during use, unless fluid intake needs to be restricted for medical reasons.

Irrigation therapy is not suitable for individuals who require reduced fluid intake due to certain heart or kidney conditions.

In case of fever, blood in the urine, severe pain, pain in the kidney area, urinary retention, a significant deterioration, or persistent symptoms, medical advice should be sought immediately.

Medical clarification should also be sought for recurring urinary tract complaints.

Side effects and tolerability

Like all medicinal products, Heumann’s Blasen- und Nierentee Solubitrat® can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.

In case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, intolerance or allergic reactions may occur.
