For decongestion and care of the nasal mucous membrane in case of a cold

nasic® for children combines xylometazoline with dexpanthenol. Xylometazoline causes decongestion of the nasal mucous membrane, while dexpanthenol supports wound healing and cares for the mucous membrane.

Areas of application

For decongestion of the nasal mucous membrane in case of a cold and for supportive healing of skin and mucous membrane lesions. Also for sudden onset of runny nose (rhinitis vasomotorica) and for the treatment of obstructed nasal breathing after nasal surgery.

Recommended use

Children aged 2 to 6 years: As needed, up to 3 times a day, 1 spray into each nostril. Use in this age group only under medical supervision.

Children aged 6 to 14 years: As needed, up to 3 times a day, 1–2 sprays into each nostril.

Hold the bottle upright when spraying and breathe in gently through the nose. For children up to 14 years of age, application should be supervised by parents or adults.

Do not use for more than 7 days without medical advice.

Active ingredients / composition

1 spray contains:

• 0.05 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride

• 5 mg dexpanthenol

Excipients: Benzalkonium chloride, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate and purified water.

Important notes

For children aged 2 years and older. For children aged 2 to 6 years, use only under medical supervision.

Do not use for more than 7 days without medical advice. For children, a doctor should always be consulted regarding the duration of use.

Longer-term or excessive use of decongestant nasal sprays can lead to recurrent or chronic swelling and damage to the nasal mucous membrane.

The medicinal product contains benzalkonium chloride.
