Chlorhexamed® 1% Gel

For temporary use in cases of gingivitis and limited oral hygiene.

Indications

Chlorhexamed® 1% Gel is used exclusively in the oral cavity:

• for adjunctive treatment of bacterial gingivitis

• to support the healing phase after periodontal surgery

• when oral hygiene is limited, for example during orthodontic treatments

Active Ingredient

Application

Always use Chlorhexamed® 1% Gel exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your dentist.

Application as Toothpaste

Apply a maximum of 2.5 cm of gel to a moistened toothbrush and brush your teeth once or twice daily for at least 1 minute.

Application to Individual Inflamed Areas

Apply a sufficient amount of gel, for example with a cotton swab, directly to the inflamed areas.

After the exposure time, spit out and do not rinse with water.

Note

Contains macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, levomenthol, and peppermint oil.

For oral use only.

Side Effects

Temporary taste disturbances, burning of the oral mucosa, discoloration of teeth and tongue, and irritation of the mucous membranes may occur.

Ingredients

Active ingredient: Chlorhexidine digluconate.

Other ingredients: Menthol, purified water, 2-propanol, hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium acetate trihydrate, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, peppermint oil.
