Orthomol Natal is a dietary supplement with selected micronutrients for women trying to conceive, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It contains a combination of folic acid and Quatrefolic®, as well as DHA, choline, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and lactic acid bacteria cultures.

What is the product for?

Orthomol Natal serves as a supplementary supply of important micronutrients for women trying to conceive, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

• Folic acid contributes to normal maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.

• Folic acid plays a role in cell division.

• Supplemental folic acid intake increases folate levels in pregnant women. Low folate levels are a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus.

• DHA, when taken by the mother, contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes in the fetus and breastfed infant.

• Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin.

• Choline contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism.

• Calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, vitamin D, vitamin B12, and folic acid play a role in cell division.

• Vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin D, folic acid, iron, zinc, selenium, and copper contribute to the normal function of the immune system.

• Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones. Vitamin K, vitamin D, zinc, and magnesium also contribute to the maintenance of normal bones.

• Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and utilization of calcium.

• Iodine and selenium contribute to normal thyroid function.

• Calcium and magnesium contribute to normal muscle function.

With Folic Acid and Quatrefolic®

Orthomol Natal contains a combination of folic acid and Quatrefolic®. Quatrefolic® is an active form of folate (5-methyltetrahydrofolate) that is directly available to the body.

With DHA

One daily serving contains 300 mg of DHA and 40 mg of EPA.

Maternal DHA intake contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes in the fetus and breastfed infant. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA.

Recommended intake – how to take Orthomol Natal

Take 5 tablets + 3 capsules (= 1 daily serving) daily with sufficient liquid before or with a meal.

The tablets and capsules can preferably be taken individually.
