Who is OMNi-BiOTiC® REISE suitable for?

When traveling abroad, the digestive system can be thrown off balance by various external factors (unfamiliar food, altered daily rhythm). It becomes even more unpleasant when foreign germs enter our digestive system through the consumption of water, ice cubes, or even just salads and unpeeled fruit – and the gut tries to get rid of these invaders.

While the most common diarrheal pathogens, namely all ETEC strains, are merely unpleasant but self-limiting (meaning the germs are expelled with the diarrhea itself), an infection with Salmonella, Shigella, and Campylobacter is much more problematic.

Therefore, in addition to all other holiday preparations, one should not forget to prepare the gut for the journey – experts recommend special multi-species synbiotics for this purpose.

How does OMNi-BiOTiC® REISE work?

In OMNi-BiOTiC® REISE, ten specially selected bacterial strains and the high number of 5 billion highly active "helpers" (intestinal bacteria) per serving ensure that you can enjoy every day of your trip.

A outstanding feature of OMNi-BiOTiC® REISE is the matrix in which the bacteria are embedded: enzymes and fiber massively boost the activity of the synbiotic helpers and guarantee their survival in the hostile environment of the stomach and duodenum – completely without chemical aids such as capsules or coatings.

How is OMNi-BiOTiC® REISE used?

It is recommended to take 1 sachet of OMNi-BiOTiC® REISE (= 5 g) daily starting a few days before the trip. Stir the powder into approx. 1/8 l of water or (diluted) fruit juice, milk, tea (up to a maximum of 40° C), yogurt, or similar, wait at least 1 minute for activation, stir again, and then consume. Continue this procedure throughout the entire trip.

Please note the following: The liquid in which you dissolve OMNi-BiOTiC®,
• must not be hotter than 40° C (bacteria tolerate exactly the same temperatures as the human body),
• should not be coffee, alcohol, or other products with a very acidic pH value (e.g., cola, grapefruit juice, vinegar), and
• preferably contain no carbonation.

It is advisable to take it on an empty stomach, for example, in the morning before breakfast or in the evening before dinner or before going to bed.

Since OMNi-BiOTiC® REISE contains only bacteria naturally found in the human intestine, it can also be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Application notes:

OMNi-BiOTiC® products contain small amounts of different fibers that serve as specific food for the bacteria, e.g., fructooligosaccharides (FOS). If you have a known fructose intolerance, you should extend the activation time of OMNi-BiOTiC® REISE to 30 minutes. During this time, the bacteria metabolize their food (= fructooligosaccharides, etc.) almost completely, so that at most only individual molecules of these substances reach the intestine.
