Gynolind® Balance Activ Vaginal Gel is used to treat bacterial vaginosis (BV) and supports the natural and rapid restoration of the physiological pH value and vaginal flora.

The vaginal gel contains a combination of lactic acid and glycogen. It can be used alone or in conjunction with antibiotic therapy for bacterial vaginosis. The gel has been clinically tested and its effectiveness in restoring natural pH and vaginal flora has been confirmed.

One pack contains 7 hygienic disposable applicators for use over seven consecutive days.

How does Gynolind® Balance Activ work?

Gynolind® Balance Activ Vaginal Gel contains lactic acid, which neutralizes unpleasant odor and helps to naturally restore the normal acidic pH of the vagina.

In addition, the gel contains glycogen. Glycogen serves as a nutrient for the naturally occurring lactic acid bacteria, thereby supporting their multiplication and the restoration of a natural vaginal environment.

The pH value of the vaginal gel is between 3.7 and 3.9, which is adapted to a healthy vaginal environment. The acidic environment promotes favorable conditions for the protective lactic acid bacteria. This can alleviate typical symptoms of bacterial vaginosis and support the natural balance of the vaginal environment.

Gynolind® Balance Activ Vaginal Gel is used to treat bacterial vaginosis and to restore the natural vaginal pH and vaginal flora.

It is particularly suitable for typical symptoms of bacterial vaginosis such as increased discharge, unpleasant odor, or general discomfort in the vaginal area.

The vaginal gel can also be used in conjunction with antibiotic therapy for bacterial vaginosis.

Dosage and application

For treatment, one disposable applicator is used daily for a period of 7 consecutive days. It is preferably applied in the evening before going to bed.

Wash hands thoroughly before and after use. Twist off the cap of the disposable applicator. Then carefully insert the entire neck of the applicator into the vagina and completely squeeze out the contents of the tube.

After application, a slight discharge of the gel may occur. Therefore, the use of a panty liner may be advisable.

Maintaining the vaginal environment

If symptoms recur or if the natural vaginal environment is disturbed, one disposable applicator can also be used daily for a period of 7 days before going to bed.

For optimal results, Gynolind® Balance Activ can be combined with products to support vaginal flora such as Gynophilus® Classic or Gynophilus® Protect, according to product information.

Practical tips

• Wash hands thoroughly before and after use.

• Twist off the cap and carefully insert the entire neck of the applicator into the vagina.

• Completely squeeze out the contents of the disposable applicator.

• If there is a slight discharge after application, a panty liner can be used.

• Use a fresh towel daily for the intimate area.

• Wear breathable cotton underwear.

• Avoid vaginal douches.

• During application, ensure gentle intimate hygiene.

• Avoid heavily perfumed or aggressive cleaning products in the intimate area if possible.

Use during pregnancy and menstruation

According to product information, Gynolind® Balance Activ Vaginal Gel can be used during menstruation and during pregnancy.

However, if a vaginal infection is suspected during pregnancy, a doctor should be consulted. In particular, new or unusual symptoms during pregnancy should be medically clarified.

Storage

Store Gynolind® Balance Activ Vaginal Gel between 2 °C and 30 °C.

Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

Side effects and tolerability

During use, especially with cracked or already irritated vaginal mucosa, temporary stinging, burning, or itching may occur.

These symptoms are usually temporary. If symptoms persist or worsen, discontinue use and seek medical advice.

Gynolind® Balance Activ Vaginal Gel must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the ingredients.
