PreMama duo is a food supplement for women trying to conceive, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The combination contains 11 vitamins, 10 minerals, and the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA. Folate is included in the form of 5-MTHF-glucosamine (Quatrefolic®).

The additional intake of folic acid increases the maternal folate status. A low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. The positive effect occurs with an additional daily intake of 400 µg of folic acid for a period of at least one month before and up to three months after conception.

Maternal DHA intake contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes in the fetus and breastfed infant. The positive effect occurs with a daily intake of 200 mg DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of 250 mg DHA and EPA for adults.

Women trying to conceive, pregnant and breastfeeding women take 1 tablet and 1 softgel capsule daily after a meal with some liquid.
