Lutein and Omega-3 fatty acids - the natural light protection for age-related macular degeneration

Daily intake of lutein reduces the risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) worsening. Prophylactic intake of lutein is recommended from the age of 60, as the risk of developing AMD increases with each year of life and AMD patients show a deficiency in lutein. Omega-3 fatty acids, especially high-dose DHA, also act as antioxidants and are anti-apoptotic in retinal cells.

Recommended dosage:
For the first 3-6 months, 1 Lutamax DUO 20mg capsule daily, then 1 Lutamax DUO 10mg capsule daily.

The stated recommended daily amount must not be exceeded.
