Lutamax AREDS 2 capsules contain a special combination of lutein, the lutein isomer zeaxanthin, as well as antioxidant vitamins and minerals, which can inhibit the further deterioration of advanced AMD.

The progression of AMD in later stages can be delayed by the continuous intake of a high-dose combination of vitamins, minerals, and lutein/zeaxanthin. In particular, the risk of a dry form of AMD progressing to the more dangerous wet form with bleeding is significantly reduced.

The effectiveness of this combination has been proven by a large study (AREDS 2) conducted by the American health authorities. Lutamax AREDS 2 capsules contain the well-known plant-based protective substances lutein and zeaxanthin, which fulfill numerous important physiological functions in the eye.

Furthermore, Lutamax AREDS 2 capsules contain a high-dose combination of antioxidant vitamins (C and E) and minerals (zinc in combination with copper). The exact mechanism of action of this high-dose combination of vitamins, minerals, and lutein/zeaxanthin is not yet known in all details.

It is assumed that the antioxidant substances can reduce further damage to the photoreceptor cells by high-energy light and oxygen. The substances contained could also inhibit the development of new blood vessels and thus reduce the risk of bleeding in the retina.

Composition
Lutamax AREDS 2 capsules contain a special combination of lutein, the lutein isomer zeaxanthin, as well as antioxidant vitamins and minerals, which can inhibit the further deterioration of advanced AMD.

Ingredients:
Vitamin C, Vitamin E, vegetable lutein-zeaxanthin extract, zinc, copper; colorants: titanium oxide, indigo carmine; additives: gelatin, magnesium stearate (release agent).

Recommended intake
Take 2 capsules daily with some liquid. For positive effects, continuous intake of Lutamax AREDS 2 capsules is recommended.
