Medicine for the supportive treatment of scaling and oily scalp conditions

Dosage form: Dermatological solution for use on the scalp

Area of application: For the supportive treatment of scaling scalp conditions associated with excessive sebum production.

Active ingredient: Sodium bitumen sulfonate, light (Ichthyol®-Sodium)

Solutio Cordes® 0.5% is a dermatological solution for use on the scalp. The active ingredient sodium bitumen sulfonate, light, belongs to the group of sulfonated shale oils.

The solution reduces excessive sebum production and thereby supports the reduction of dandruff and oily scalp. In addition, the active ingredient has anti-inflammatory, anti-itch, antibacterial and antifungal properties and promotes blood circulation.

The alcoholic base helps to dissolve sebum and scales.

Application and dosage

Adults apply Solutio Cordes® 2 to 3 times daily to the affected scalp. The application should not exceed three times daily.

Before application, brush dry hair vigorously against the part or crown. Then apply sufficient solution to the scalp and gently massage in with the fingers.

This dissolves sebum and scales. Afterwards, rub the hair dry with a towel to remove the dissolved residues.

The duration of treatment depends on the success of the treatment and should continue until the symptoms subside. Use beyond 8 weeks has not been studied.

Composition

100 g solution contain:

Active ingredient:
0.5 g sodium bitumen sulfonate, light

Other ingredients:
2-propanol, sodium laureth sulfate, propylene glycol, purified water.

Notes

For use on the skin or scalp. Do not exceed the recommended frequency of application. Keep medicine out of reach of children.
