Urolind® INFEKT combines sporebiotics from Bacillus coagulans and Bacillus subtilis with cranberry extract, dandelion leaf extract, lactoferrin, and vitamin B2. The coordinated composition supports the urogenital microbiome and the mucous membranes of the urinary tract.

The product can be used for acute symptoms as well as long-term prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections.

What is Urolind® INFEKT?

Urolind® INFEKT is a specially developed food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of urinary tract infections.

Urinary tract infections often occur when unwanted bacteria multiply in the urinary tract. The bladder is particularly frequently affected. In some individuals, urinary tract infections recur repeatedly.

With its special composition, Urolind® INFEKT addresses several factors that are important for the urogenital microbiome and the health of mucous membranes.

The 5-in-1 formula

The special formula of Urolind® INFEKT combines five different approaches:

• Sporebiotics to support the microbiome

• Cranberry extract

• Dandelion leaf extract

• Lactoferrin

• Vitamin B2 for the maintenance of normal mucous membranes

The components complement each other and are specifically tailored to the nutritional-medical needs in acute and recurrent urinary tract infections.

Sporebiotics

Urolind® INFEKT contains two selected bacterial strains:

Bacillus coagulans: 25 mg or 1.25 billion colony-forming units (CFU) per tablet.

Bacillus subtilis: 25 mg or 1.25 billion CFU per tablet.

Thus, one tablet provides a total of 2.5 billion CFU.

The spore-forming bacteria are part of the special formulation to support the microbiome.

Cranberry extract

One Urolind® INFEKT tablet contains 500 mg of cranberry extract.

Cranberries are traditionally used in connection with urinary tract health and are a proven component of numerous products for the bladder and urinary tract.

The highly dosed cranberry extract forms a central part of Urolind® INFEKT's 5-in-1 formula.

Dandelion leaf extract

Urolind® INFEKT contains 105 mg of dandelion leaf extract per tablet.

Dandelion is traditionally used in connection with excretory function and the urinary tract and complements the other components of the special formulation.

Lactoferrin

One tablet contains 50 mg of lactoferrin.

Lactoferrin is a naturally occurring iron-binding protein and a component of various body secretions. It is found, among other places, on mucous membrane surfaces and is one of the body's natural protective components there.

In Urolind® INFEKT, lactoferrin complements the composition tailored to the urogenital microbiome and mucous membranes.

Vitamin B2

One tablet contains 1.4 mg of vitamin B2 in the form of riboflavin.

Vitamin B2 contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes. This function is also important for the mucous membranes of the urogenital tract.

In addition, vitamin B2 contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and to normal energy metabolism.

Composition per tablet

Dosage and application

In case of an acute urinary tract infection, one tablet is taken twice daily, unchewed, with a large glass of water.

For the prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections, one tablet is taken once daily over a longer period.

Sufficient fluid intake should be ensured, unless there are medical restrictions on drinking.

In acute urinary tract infections

In acute complaints, Urolind® INFEKT does not replace necessary medical diagnosis or medicinal treatment.

Medical help should be sought especially in case of fever, chills, pain in the kidney or flank area, blood in the urine, severe symptoms or rapid deterioration.

Even with prolonged or frequently recurring urinary tract infections, the cause should be clarified by a doctor.

For the prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections

In individuals with recurrent urinary tract infections, Urolind® INFEKT can be used for a longer period with one tablet daily.

The composition is designed to support the urogenital microbiome and mucous membranes as part of special dietary management.

Important notes

Foods for special medical purposes are intended for the dietary management of diseases and should be used according to the intended application.

The product does not replace necessary medical treatment of an acute urinary tract infection.

The recommended intake quantity should be observed.

In case of existing diseases, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or simultaneous intake of medicines, the application should be clarified with a doctor or pharmacist if necessary.

Storage

Store in a cool and dry place.

Consume within one day after opening.

Keep out of reach of small children.

Side effects and tolerability

When used as intended, Urolind® INFEKT is intended for the special dietary management of urinary tract infections.

In sensitive individuals, individual components can in rare cases lead to gastrointestinal complaints or hypersensitivity reactions.

If there is a known allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the components, the product should not be used.

Lactoferrin is usually obtained from cow's milk. In case of a cow's milk protein allergy, it should therefore be checked before use from which source the lactoferrin contained in the product originates.
