For the prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections caused by E. coli

femidoc® UROEXPRESS® FIZZ is a medical device containing 2 g of D-mannose per effervescent tablet. It is used for the prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections or cystitis caused by E. coli and can be used as a supportive measure during treatment.

D-mannose binds to E. coli bacteria, thereby reducing their adhesion to the walls of the urinary tract. The bound bacteria can then be excreted with the urine.

Areas of application

For the prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections or cystitis caused by E. coli, and to support the treatment of urinary tract infections.

Typical symptoms of cystitis can include burning or pain during urination, frequent urge to urinate, frequent bladder emptying, and abdominal pain.

Recommended use

For adults aged 18 and over:

For prevention: 1 effervescent tablet once daily.

For supportive treatment: 1 effervescent tablet twice daily.

Completely dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water (approx. 200 ml) and drink immediately.

The application within a treatment period should not exceed 30 days. After a break of 4 days, the application can be resumed.

Ingredients / Composition

Citric acid, D-mannose (2 g per effervescent tablet), sodium bicarbonate, corn starch, beetroot powder, sorbitol, wild berry extract, inulin, sucralose.

Side effects / Tolerability

In case of overdose, gastrointestinal complaints such as bloating, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur.

Important notes

Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

If you experience symptoms of cystitis, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. If fever, blood in the urine, pain in the kidney area, or a significant deterioration occurs, medical clarification is required.

There is insufficient data on use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. A doctor or pharmacist should therefore be consulted before use.
