What are Daflon 500mg - film-coated tablets and what are they used for?
The substances contained in Daflon 500 mg - film-coated tablets act on the large veins and the fine capillaries. They reduce both excessive distensibility and pathologically increased permeability of the vessel walls for blood fluid. At the same time, the capacity of the veins for blood is reduced.
This prevents symptoms of blood stasis, such as a feeling of heaviness or pain in the legs, or calf cramps occurring at night.
At the same time, symptoms caused by hemorrhoids are also favorably influenced.
Indications:
Symptoms of chronic venous disease of the legs, especially a feeling of heaviness, pain and nocturnal calf cramps.
Symptoms caused by hemorrhoids.
How are Daflon 500mg – film-coated tablets to be taken?
Always take Daflon 500 mg - film-coated tablets exactly as described in the package leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily (morning and evening). Alternatively, 2 film-coated tablets can be taken once daily (morning or evening).
For acute hemorrhoidal complaints, a temporary increase to 2 to 3 film-coated tablets twice daily is possible.
The film-coated tablets are to be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid during meals.
The use of Daflon 500 mg – film-coated tablets in children and adolescents is not recommended.
What Daflon 500mg – film-coated tablets contain:
Active ingredient: 1 film-coated tablet contains 500 mg purified, micronized flavonoid fraction, consisting of 450 mg diosmin and 50 mg flavonoids, expressed as hesperidin.
The other ingredients are:
Sodium starch glycolate, microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin, magnesium stearate, talc, glycerin, sodium lauryl sulfate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose,
polyethylene glycol 6000, titanium dioxide (E 171), yellow iron oxide (E 172) and red iron oxide (E 172).
