TVM Ocryl® is a physiological eye cleansing solution for the regular hygiene and care of the eyes of dogs, cats, horses, small pets, and exotic animals.

The sterile solution is suitable for cleaning the eyes and the area around the eyes, as well as for removing tear stains, deposits, secretions, dust, foreign bodies, and crusts.

The pH value corresponds to that of tear fluid, ensuring excellent tolerability.

Intended use

Ocryl® is suitable for:

• Daily cleaning and care of the eyes

• Removal of deposits and secretions

• Removal of dust and superficial foreign bodies

• Cleaning of crusts in the eye area

• Removal and care of tear stains

• Reduction of discoloration caused by tear fluid

Organic deposits and crusts should be removed regularly, as they can provide a breeding ground for unwanted microorganisms.

Application

For the removal of tear stains:

Apply Ocryl® to a compress or a well-soaked cotton pad and gently clean the affected areas 1 to 2 times daily until the discoloration fades. Afterwards, use 1 to 2 times per week for regular care.

For eye cleaning:

Apply a few drops directly into the eye. Ensure that the tip of the container does not touch the cornea.

Gently remove excess fluid and loosened deposits in the eye area with a clean compress or cotton pad.

Important information

For use only on the eyes and surrounding eye area of animals.

In case of severe or persistent eye irritation, redness, pain, injury, purulent discharge, or other noticeable changes, veterinary advice should be sought.

Do not touch the cornea with the tip of the container during application.

Ingredients

• Benzalkonium chloride

• Methylene blue

• Boric acid

• Sodium borate

• Rose extract

• Buffered excipients

Methylene blue supports the removal of discoloration caused by porphyrins in the tear fluid. Boric acid and sodium borate have mild antiseptic and astringent properties. Rose extract provides soothing care.

Side effects and tolerability

Ocryl® is characterized by excellent tolerability, with a pH value that matches that of natural tear fluid.

If irritation or intolerance reactions occur, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.
