Product Information & Legal Notices
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® is a veterinary medicinal product for protecting dogs against fleas, ticks, and flying insects such as mosquitoes, sandflies, and stable flies. The combination of fipronil and permethrin possesses both killing and repellent properties.
This variant, containing 135.2 mg of fipronil and 1,009.6 mg of permethrin, is intended for dogs with a body weight of 10 to 20 kg.
What is it for?
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® is used for the treatment and prevention of flea and/or tick infestations when a repellent effect against sandflies, stable flies, and/or mosquitoes is also required.
The product also reduces the risk of infection with Leishmania infantum.
Properties and Effect
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® combines two active ingredients:

Fipronil has a killing effect against fleas and ticks.
-
Permethrin has a repellent and killing effect against ticks and flying insects, as well as a killing effect against fleas.
Key features:
-
Protection against fleas and ticks
-
Repellent effect against sandflies, mosquitoes, and stable flies
-
Works through contact with the parasites
-
Supports protection against flea infestation in the home environment
-
Reduces the risk of infection with Leishmania infantum
-
Water-resistant after the required distribution period
-
Particularly suitable for travel to areas with a high prevalence of flying insects
-
Simple spot-on application
-
Suitable for dogs from 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 2 kg
After application, the active ingredients spread across the superficial, lipid-rich skin layer within approximately 1 to 2 days and are stored in the sebaceous glands. From there, they are continuously distributed over the skin and coat.
Application
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® is applied as a spot-on directly to the skin:
-
Remove the pipette from the packaging and hold it upright.
-
Tap the tip briefly so that the liquid collects in the lower part.
-
Snap off the tip of the pipette at the marked position.
-
Part the coat in the neck area at two spots until the skin is visible.
-
Place the pipette tip directly onto the skin and distribute the contents evenly between the two spots.
-
Empty the pipette completely.
How often should it be used?
For continuous protection, FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® should be used regularly according to the package leaflet.
If protection against fleas, ticks, and flying insects is required, monthly application may be necessary.
Instructions for use and environment
Intensive bathing should be avoided within 48 hours before or after treatment, as this may impair the distribution of the active ingredients.
The pipette size corresponding to the dog's body weight must always be used.
In the event of a flea infestation, all suitable animals in the household should be treated accordingly. Additionally, the environment should be cleaned thoroughly. Regular vacuuming and washing of suitable textiles, pet bedding, and toys at at least 60 °C can support flea control.
