FRONTLINE TRI-ACT for Dogs

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT – the innovative parasite protection exclusively for dogs! Protect your dog from ticks, fleas, and flying insects!

Flying insects (such as mosquitoes, sand flies, stable flies) can also be dangerous for dogs, as they can transmit diseases through their bites.
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT offers unique triple protection for dogs:

  • Eliminates fleas, ticks, and flying insects within 6 hours.
  • Kills fleas before they can lay eggs and thus protects the home from a flea infestation.
  • Repellent effect – repels parasites before they bite, thereby reducing the risk of transmissible diseases such as leishmaniasis.

In addition, FRONTLINE TRI-ACT also offers the proven benefits of FRONTLINE:

Contact action: Parasites do not absorb the active ingredient by sucking blood, but already upon
contact with the animal.

Well-tolerated: FRONTLINE Spot On is suitable for puppies weighing 2 kg or more and aged 8 weeks or older!

Easy to use: The active ingredient is simply applied to the skin on the back of the neck with a pipette.

Travel first aid kit: FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is also particularly well suited for holiday trips with dogs, as flying insects are particularly common in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean regions and therefore pose a significant risk of illness.

How does FRONTLINE TRI-ACT work?
After application, the active ingredient solution of FRONTLINE TRI-ACT spreads over the entire body surface and is stored there in the sebaceous glands for 4 weeks. The active ingredient therefore does not penetrate the body. Due to its repellent effect, parasites are kept away before they can settle on the dog and bite. In addition, ticks, fleas, or flying insects are reliably killed within 6 hours if they come into contact with the skin or fur. Contact with the dog is therefore sufficient, and parasites do not need to bite to be killed.

 How is FRONTLINE TRI-ACT applied?

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is a spot-on, and its application is very straightforward – the active ingredient solution is applied directly to the skin using a pipette:

  • Remove a pipette from the packaging.
  • Hold the pipette tip upright, tap the tip briefly with your finger (so that all the solution is at the bottom of the pipette) and break it off at the perforated spot.
  • Part the dog's fur in two places on the neck until the skin is visible.
  • Place the tip of the pipette directly onto the skin and apply the active ingredient solution completely to the two skin areas. Empty the pipette completely by squeezing it several times.

The active ingredient then distributes itself over the entire body surface of the dog within 1-2 days.

Please note:

  • The natural skin condition of the dog is the optimal basis for the distribution and storage of the active ingredient solution. However, intensive bathing before or after application (within 48 hours) can impair distribution. FRONTLINE products are waterproof after the distribution period.
  • Always pay attention to the pipette size according to weight. An insufficient dosage can impair the success of the treatment. FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is available for dogs in 5 different weight classes.
  • For treatment success, it is also important that all dogs living in the household are treated simultaneously and regularly. Untreated animals can repeatedly re-infest others, especially in the case of flea infestation.
  • ATTENTION: FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is not suitable for cats! Please do not use on cats under any circumstances! (For cats, please only use our product FRONTLINE Spot On Cat!)
  • In the event of a flea infestation, it is also very important to rid the environment of fleas. Otherwise, your dog can be re-infested again and again. Therefore, you should vacuum thoroughly daily (even in corners and edges), wash blankets, textiles, toys, etc. at at least 60 degrees, and use products for environmental treatment.
  • Important: FRONTLINE TRI-ACT, like all FRONTLINE products, must under no circumstances be used on rabbits and other small animals!

How often should FRONTLINE TRI-ACT be applied?
Only if there is a continuously sufficient amount of active ingredient can an effect without a protection gap be guaranteed. FRONTLINE products should be applied monthly. Flea infestation is a problem not only in summer and autumn but also in winter. In heated homes, fleas thrive even in the cold season. Therefore, we recommend year-round preventive treatment, especially for indoor pets.
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is also particularly well suited for holiday trips with dogs, as flying insects are particularly common in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean regions and
pose a significant risk of illness for holiday travels.

What active ingredients are contained in FRONTLINE TRI-ACT and how do they work?
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT contains a combination of fipronil and permethrin. Fipronil is an active ingredient that disrupts the nerve conduction of insects (e.g., fleas) and arachnids (e.g., ticks), causing the parasites to die. The active ingredient works in invertebrates (arachnids and insects) and not in mammals such as dogs or humans. Permethrin has a repellent (deterrent) and killing effect against ticks and flying insects, as well as a killing effect against fleas.

1-2 days after application, the combination of active ingredients spreads over the superficial, fat-rich skin layer of the entire body. The active ingredients are fat-soluble and are stored in the sebaceous glands. From there, the active ingredients are continuously released with the sebum onto the skin and into the fur.
