FRONTLINE TRI-ACT – the innovative parasite protection, especially for dogs! Protect your dog from ticks, fleas, and flying insects!
!! Not suitable for cats
Flying insects (such as mosquitoes, sand flies, and stable flies) can be dangerous for dogs as they can transmit diseases.
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT offers revolutionary triple protection for dogs:
- Kills fleas, ticks, and flying insects within 6 hours.
- Destroys fleas before they can lay eggs, thereby protecting your home from flea infestation.
- Repellent effect – repels parasites before they bite, reducing the risk of transmissible diseases such as leishmaniasis.
In addition, FRONTLINE TRI-ACT offers the proven benefits of FRONTLINE:
Works on contact: Parasites do not absorb the active ingredient by feeding on blood, but rather through
contact with the animal.
Well tolerated: FRONTLINE Spot On is suitable for puppies weighing 2 kg or more and aged 8 weeks or older!
Easy to apply: The active ingredient is simply applied with a pipette to the skin on the back of the neck.
Travel first aid kit: FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is also particularly suitable for travel with dogs, as flying insects are common especially in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean region, posing a high risk of disease there.
How does FRONTLINE TRI-ACT work?
After application, the active ingredient solution of FRONTLINE TRI-ACT spreads over the entire body surface and is stored in the sebaceous glands for 4 weeks. The active ingredient therefore does not penetrate the body. The repellent effect repels parasites before they can settle on the dog and bite. In addition, ticks, fleas, or flying insects are reliably killed within 6 hours if they come into contact with the skin or fur. Contact with the dog is therefore sufficient, and the parasites do not need to bite to be killed.
How is FRONTLINE TRI-ACT applied?
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is a spot-on product and its application is very simple - the active ingredient solution is applied directly to the skin with a pipette:
- Remove one pipette from the packaging.
- Hold the pipette tip upright, tap it briefly with your finger (so that all the solution is in the lower part of the pipette) and snap it open at the perforated point.
- On the back of the dog's neck, part the fur in two places until the skin is visible.
- Place the tip of the pipette directly on the skin and apply the active ingredient solution completely to both skin areas. Empty the pipette completely by squeezing it several times.
The active ingredient then spreads over the entire body surface of the dog within 1-2 days.
Please note:
- The dog's natural skin structure is the optimal basis for the distribution and storage of the active ingredient solution. However, intensive bathing before or after application (within 48 hours) can impair distribution. FRONTLINE products are waterproof after the distribution period.
- Be sure to pay attention to the pipette size depending on weight. Too low a dosage can impair treatment success. FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is available for dogs in 5 different weight categories.
- For treatment success, it is also important that all dogs living in the household are treated simultaneously and regularly. Untreated animals can repeatedly infect others, especially in the case of flea infestation.
- CAUTION: FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is not suitable for cats! Do not use on cats under any circumstances! (For cats, please only use our product FRONTLINE Spot On Cat!)
- In the event of a flea infestation, it is also very important to rid the environment of fleas. Otherwise, your dog can be re-infested again and again. For this, you should vacuum daily and thoroughly (also in corners and edges), wash blankets, textiles, toys, etc. at at least 60 degrees, and use products for environmental treatment.
- Important: FRONTLINE TRI-ACT, like all FRONTLINE products, must under no circumstances be used on rabbits and other small animals!
How often should FRONTLINE TRI-ACT be applied?
Only if a continuously sufficient amount of active ingredient is present can an effect be achieved without protection gaps. FRONTLINE products should be applied monthly. Flea infestation is a problem not only in summer and autumn but also in winter. In heated rooms, fleas feel comfortable even in the cold season. Therefore, we recommend year-round prophylactic treatment, especially for indoor pets.
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is also particularly suitable for travel with dogs, as flying insects are particularly common in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean regions and
therefore pose a significant health risk for holiday travel.
What active ingredients does FRONTLINE TRI-ACT contain and how do they work?
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT consists of a combination of fipronil and permethrin. Fipronil is an active ingredient that disrupts the nerve transmission of insects (such as fleas) and arachnids (such as ticks), causing the parasites to die. The active ingredient acts on invertebrates (arachnids and insects) and not on mammals such as dogs or humans. The active ingredient permethrin has a repellent and killing effect against ticks and flying insects, as well as a killing effect against fleas.
1-2 days after application, the combination of active ingredients spreads over the superficial, fatty skin layer of the entire body. The active ingredients are fat-soluble and are stored in the sebaceous glands, from where they are continuously released onto the skin and into the fur with the sebum.
