What is the product for?

hafesan® Carotene Sun Tan Plus is suitable for adults who want to specifically supply their skin with beta-carotene and selected vitamins before and during the sunny season.

Vitamins C and E contribute to protecting cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin A, which the body can form from beta-carotene, contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.

Vitamin C also supports normal collagen formation for the normal function of the skin.

Recommended intake

Take one capsule daily, unchewed, with sufficient liquid.

According to the manufacturer, it is recommended to start taking the product at least 4 weeks before more intense sun exposure.

hafesan® Carotene Sun Tan Plus does not protect the skin from UV radiation and is by no means a substitute for sunscreen or other suitable sun protection measures.

Prolonged or more intense sun exposure should not occur due to taking the product. Solariums also represent a burden due to UV radiation.

• Smokers, and especially heavy smokers, should not take beta-carotene-containing food supplements without consulting a doctor.

Ingredients

Side effects and tolerability

When taken as directed, the product is generally well tolerated. In sensitive individuals, gastrointestinal complaints may occasionally occur.

Long-term high intake of beta-carotene can lead to a yellowish-orange discoloration of the skin. This is usually temporary.

For smokers, and especially heavy smokers, particular caution is required with high-dose beta-carotene preparations. In case of unusual or persistent complaints, medical advice should be sought.
