CANTHARIS GLOBULES C/D 5 - C/D 12
Cantharis, also known as Spanish fly, is an animal product obtained from the dried bodies of the beetle species Lytta vesicatoria. These beetles are mainly found in the warm regions of Southern Europe and the Mediterranean.
The use of Cantharis has a long history, dating back to antiquity. The Spanish fly was used for various purposes even then, including in traditional medicine. Due to the irritating properties of the ingredient cantharidin, it was also used in the past as an aphrodisiac and for the treatment of certain skin conditions.
In homeopathy, Cantharis is traditionally used for complaints associated with urinary tracts or skin irritations. It is believed that it can be used for bladder infections and skin burns.
