Hyaluron-ratiopharm® GEL Eye Drops are a medical device for intensive moisturization of dry, irritated, or burning eyes. The gel formulation is particularly suitable for more severe symptoms and provides intensive moisturization of the ocular surface.

The eye drops are preservative-free and can also be used with soft and hard contact lenses.

What is the product intended for?

Hyaluron-ratiopharm® GEL Eye Drops are suitable for intensive moisturization in cases of:

• dry eyes

• irritated eyes

• burning eyes

• more severe dry eye symptoms

• increased need for long-lasting moisturization

The drops are formulated to mimic natural tear fluid and support the moisturization and stabilization of the tear film.

How do Hyaluron-ratiopharm® GEL Eye Drops work?

Hyaluronic acid has a high water-binding capacity and thus acts as a humectant on the ocular surface. It supports the moisturization of the eye and contributes to the stabilization of the tear film.

The gel formulation allows for more intensive moisturization and is therefore particularly suitable for more pronounced symptoms of dry eyes.

Preservative-free

Hyaluron-ratiopharm® GEL Eye Drops are preservative-free.

A special valve and air filter system in the bottle head, known as the OSD system ("Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser"), helps maintain the sterility of the contents during use.

After opening, the product can be used for up to 6 months.

Application and Dosage

Instill 1 drop into each eye as needed. The eye drops can be applied several times a day if required.

Blinking distributes the liquid evenly over the ocular surface.

Hyaluron-ratiopharm® GEL Eye Drops can be used before inserting soft or hard contact lenses and for re-wetting during wear.

Application

• Remove the tamper-evident seal.

• Remove the cap.

• Hold the bottle between your thumb and forefinger.

• Instill 1 drop into each eye.

• Then close the bottle again.

Tip: For a steadier hand when instilling, you can rest your hand on your forehead.

Side effects and tolerability

Due to their preservative-free formulation, Hyaluron-ratiopharm® GEL Eye Drops are suitable for regular use.

Immediately after instillation, the gel consistency may temporarily cause blurred vision. In this case, you should wait until your vision is clear again before driving a vehicle or operating machinery.

In case of irritation, hypersensitivity reactions, or persistent symptoms, discontinue use and seek medical or pharmaceutical advice.
