Product Description

Lutamax DUO 20 mg combines lutein and zeaxanthin with the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA as well as vitamin E.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids that also occur naturally in the macula of the retina. DHA is an important omega-3 fatty acid and contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. The beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.

One capsule of Lutamax DUO 20 mg contains 20 mg of lutein and a total of 330 mg of omega-3 fatty acids, of which 240 mg is DHA and 90 mg is EPA.

What is this product for?

Lutamax DUO 20 mg has been developed for targeted supply of lutein, zeaxanthin, and the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, and is intended in particular for individuals with age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Age-related macular degeneration affects the macula, the area of the retina that is of particular importance for sharp central vision.

Lutamax DUO serves as a supplementary supply of selected nutrients that are important for the retina and normal visual function. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.

Recommended Intake

For the first 3–6 months, 1 capsule of Lutamax DUO 20 mg daily is recommended.

Take the capsule with sufficient liquid.

Further use and dosage should be coordinated with the treating ophthalmologist, especially if AMD is already present.

Side Effects / Compatibility

The product should not be taken in case of known hypersensitivity to fish, fish oil, or any of the other ingredients.

Important Information

• Lutamax DUO does not replace ophthalmic treatment for age-related macular degeneration.

• If you have AMD, regular eye examinations should be conducted.

• In case of a sudden deterioration of vision or newly occurring visual disturbances, an immediate ophthalmic examination is required.

• The stated recommended daily intake must not be exceeded.

• Ensure a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
