Product description
Lutamax 20 mg contains a botanical marigold (Tagetes) extract with the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin, as well as vitamin E.
Lutein and zeaxanthin occur naturally in the macula of the retina. The macula is the central area of the retina and is of particular importance for sharp vision.
One capsule of Lutamax 20 mg contains 20 mg of lutein and is specifically intended for the initial, higher-dose supply of lutein following an AMD diagnosis.
What is this product for?
Lutamax 20 mg is intended for the dietary management of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
The product is used to provide a targeted supply of lutein and zeaxanthin and, according to the manufacturer, is used particularly as a starting dose in the first months after beginning treatment.
Following the initial intake of Lutamax 20 mg, you can switch to Lutamax 10 mg as a maintenance dose for long-term supply.
It should be used on medical advice and under medical supervision.
What is age-related macular degeneration (AMD)?
Age-related macular degeneration is a disease of the macula, the central area of the retina. This area is responsible, among other things, for recognizing fine details, reading, and central sharp vision.
