ThermaCare® heat wraps for the knee were developed for targeted heat application to treat knee pain and muscle stiffness. 12 patented heat cells generate long-lasting deep tissue heat, which can help relax tense muscles and alleviate pain.

The ergonomic and flexible shape adapts to the knee and enables targeted heat application to the affected area.

What is it for?

ThermaCare® knee heat wraps are suitable for heat therapy for knee pain associated with:

• Overexertion

• Strains and sprains

• Osteoarthritis

• Muscle tension

• Acute, chronic, or occasional knee pain

Application can begin as soon as the first symptoms appear.

Application

Only open the airtight packaging immediately before use.

Do not cut the heat wrap.

Carefully tear along the perforated notch to separate the side ends.

Position the heat wrap over the affected knee so that the darker heat cells face the skin and the circular opening is over the kneecap.

Then secure with the hook-and-loop fasteners and adjust the tension so that the wrap sits comfortably and securely.

After about 30 minutes, a temperature of approximately 40 °C is reached. The heat is released for up to 8 hours.

Remove the heat wrap after no more than 8 hours.

Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days.

Overnight use

For individuals under 55 years of age, the heat wrap can also be worn overnight in accordance with the instructions for use.

From the age of 55, there is an increased risk of skin burns. Therefore, only use ThermaCare® over a layer of clothing or fabric, and not while sleeping.

Important Information

Do not use on injured or damaged skin.

Do not use for acute inflammation, bruising, or swelling, or on areas of the body with reduced or impaired sensation of heat.

Do not use simultaneously with medical creams or ointments, patches, or other heat sources.

Never heat the heat wrap in an oven, microwave, or by any other means. There is a risk of fire and burns.

If you experience excessive heat, burning, skin irritation, or other discomfort, discontinue use.

Seek medical advice before use if you have:

• Diabetes

• Circulatory problems

• Heart disease

• Rheumatoid arthritis

• Pregnancy

Observe the complete instructions for use and the warnings listed therein.

Side Effects and Tolerability

Due to the application of heat, redness or skin irritation may occur, especially in those with sensitive skin.

If you experience severe, unusual, or persistent skin reactions or signs of burns, stop using immediately and seek medical advice if necessary.
