Pregnavit® PLUS Select Phase II is a dietary supplement for the period from the 13th week of pregnancy until the end of breastfeeding.

The combination contains folate in the form of Quatrefolic® as well as selected vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. The formulation is supplemented with grape seed extract and the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA.

What is the product for?

Pregnavit® PLUS Select Phase II was developed for the supplementary supply of important micronutrients during pregnancy from the 13th week of pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Folate contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy and plays a role in cell division.

The omega-3 fatty acid DHA contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and breastfed infant. The beneficial effect is achieved with an additional daily intake of 200 mg DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of 250 mg DHA and EPA for adults.

What is Quatrefolic®?

Quatrefolic® is a modern 4th generation form of folate. It is 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF), a biologically active form of folate.

Unlike conventional folic acid, 5-MTHF does not first need to be converted into the active form of folate through several metabolic steps.

Side effects and tolerability

Pregnavit® PLUS Select Phase II is generally well tolerated when taken as directed.

In sensitive individuals, gastrointestinal complaints may occasionally occur. Omega-3 fatty acids can cause belching or a fishy aftertaste in some people.

If you have a known intolerance to any of the ingredients, the product should not be taken. In case of unusual or persistent complaints, medical or pharmaceutical advice should be sought.
