Encapsulated Retinol

Retinol is a vitamin A derivative that supports the natural renewal of the skin surface. It helps to improve the appearance of uneven skin and, with regular use, ensures a smoother and more refined skin texture.

The encapsulated form allows the retinol to be delivered to the skin in a controlled manner.

Application

Preferably apply CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum in the evening to cleansed and dry facial skin and distribute evenly.

Avoid the eye area and lips.

When using for the first time, it is recommended to introduce retinol slowly into your skincare routine. Start by using it 2–3 evenings per week, for example, and gradually increase the frequency of use if well tolerated.

If skin irritation occurs, reduce the frequency of application or pause temporarily. Only start again once the skin has calmed, and increase use slowly.

During the use of retinol, the skin should be consistently protected from UV radiation during the day with a sunscreen with a high SPF.

In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

Notes

Retinol can cause temporary irritation or dryness, especially at the beginning of use.

Do not use concurrently with several highly exfoliating or irritating active ingredients if doing so causes skin irritation.

For sensitive skin, increase use slowly and monitor skin tolerance.

Use high sun protection during the day.

Side Effects

Especially when starting retinol use, dryness, tightness, redness, stinging, flaking, or other skin irritations may occur.

These reactions can be reduced by introducing the product more slowly and using it less frequently.

In case of severe or persistent skin irritation, discontinue use. Once the skin has completely calmed, the serum may be used again at a lower frequency if well tolerated.

Avoid contact with eyes and lips. If it comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water.

During use, the skin should be protected during the day with a sunscreen with a high SPF.

The product should not be used in case of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
