COLDAN Nasal Drops

What is COLDAN and what is it used for?
COLDAN nasal drops are a medication for the local treatment of colds, hay fever, pharyngitis, as supportive therapy for inflammation of the frontal and maxillary sinuses, and to facilitate rhinoscopy (examination of the inside of the nose).

After using COLDAN, the inflamed nasal mucous membrane becomes less swollen. In addition, COLDAN prevents the formation of new nasal secretions. The effect occurs within a few minutes and lasts up to 4 hours. If you do not feel better after 3 days or if your condition worsens, please consult your doctor.

How to use COLDAN?
Dosage

• Adults and adolescents from 12 years: 1-3 drops into each nostril 2 to a maximum of 4 times a day.
• Children aged 6 to 12 years: 1-2 drops into each nostril 1 to a maximum of 3 times a day.
• The use of COLDAN nasal drops is not recommended for children aged 2 to 6 years.
• COLDAN nasal drops must not be used in children under 2 years of age.

Method of administration
For use in the nose. For instillation into the nose.

After thoroughly cleaning the nose (blowing your nose), tilt your head back and instill the drops into each nostril; close the other nostril with a finger and inhale. By simultaneously turning the head, the medicine is evenly distributed over the mucous membrane.

After use, rinse the dropper pipette with hot water to avoid contamination of the bottle contents. Then dry the dropper pipette with a clean cloth.

Duration of use
There should be an interval of at least 4 hours between applications. Treatment with COLDAN nasal drops should not exceed 7 days for adults and adolescents from 12 years, and not exceed 5 days for children aged 6 to 12 years.

If symptoms worsen or persist for more than 72 hours without significant improvement, please consult a doctor. A break of at least 10 days should be observed before re-treatment.

COLDAN nasal drops must not be used continuously. With prolonged uninterrupted use, habituation effects may occur.

Ingredients of COLDAN nasal drops

• The active ingredient is: Naphazoline hydrochloride.
• 1 ml solution contains 1 mg naphazoline hydrochloride.
• The other ingredients are: Benzalkonium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate, sodium edetate, purified water.
• 1 ml corresponds to 24 drops.
