Efficient eye moistening with high-quality hyaluronic acid
HYLO COMOD® offers long-lasting and efficient help for dry eyes. The moisturizing effect and particularly good tolerability of the eye drops have been proven millions of times over: HYLO COMOD® is the most widely used eye moistening agent in Germany.* Thanks to the highly viscous, long-chain hyaluronic acid, HYLO COMOD® eye drops enable improved moistening of the sensitive eye surface in cases of moderate
to severe symptoms of dry eyes. The drops supplement the natural tear film and thus protect the eyes long-term from damage due to dehydration. Typical symptoms such as redness, burning, itching, and foreign body sensation quickly subside. Due to the long-lasting supply of moisture without preservatives or phosphates, the medical device is also suitable before and after eye surgeries when the supply of sufficient tear fluid
is disturbed.
Practical and economical thanks to the patented COMOD® system
To protect sensitive eyes, eye drops should be well tolerated and free of pathogenic germs. Conventional eye drops therefore usually use preservatives, which, however, can cause intolerances and allergies. The
medical devices of the HYLO® product family are offered in the innovative COMOD® system. The eye drops are sterile and hermetically sealed, so preservatives can be dispensed with. In addition, the patented system scores with exact dosing: only 1 drop comes out per pump stroke. A bottle is stable for 6 months after opening and lasts for at least 300 drops.

Dosage:
Step 1:
Remove protective cap before use.
Step 2:
Hold the bottle with the dropper tip downwards. Place your thumb on the bottle shoulder, the other fingers on the bottom of the bottle.
Step 3:
Lightly support the hand holding the bottle with the other hand.
Step 4:
Tilt your head slightly back and gently pull down the lower eyelid with your other hand. Apply firm pressure to the bottom of the bottle and drip the drop into the conjunctival sac. Thanks to the special COMOD® pump system, exactly 1 drop comes out. Close your eye slowly to spread the liquid over the eye surface. After use, immediately close the dropper tip with the cap.
DIGITAL STRAIN
If your eyes burn or itch, tire quickly, or you feel a foreign body sensation in your eye, insufficient moistening of the eye surface may be the cause. Today, every 5th patient who consults an ophthalmologist suffers from dry eyes. Various factors such as environmental influences, diseases, and the intake of medication can be responsible for the development of dry eyes. One of the main causes of tear film disturbance is the strain on the eye from screen work and the use of digital media.
AIR-CONDITIONED ROOMS
Anyone who maintains an active lifestyle and travels a lot for work or pleasure knows the problem: in trains, planes, conference rooms, and hotel rooms, the air conditioning runs at full blast, spreading dry indoor air. This can also affect the eyes: the lack of humidity causes the tear film to dry out faster, and the unprotected eye surface reacts with irritation, burning, itching, and redness. Moisturizing eye drops should therefore always be kept handy when on the go.
EYE SURGERIES
Surgical procedures on the eye can severely impair the supply of tear fluid. However, this is precisely what needs to be avoided, as wounds after eye surgery can only heal optimally in a sufficiently moist environment. Due to the long-lasting moistening and the absence of preservatives and phosphates, HYLO COMOD® eye drops have proven effective here. The medical device is used in numerous eye clinics for post-operative care.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
How often should I use HYLO COMOD® eye drops daily?
HYLO COMOD® offers efficient and long-lasting moistening of the eyes for moderate to severe symptoms caused by dry eyes, as well as for tear film disturbance after surgical procedures. The dosage of the eye drops depends on your individual condition or the recommendation of your ophthalmologist. Generally, 1 drop of HYLO COMOD® is instilled into the lower eyelid of both eyes 3 times daily. If you are using HYLO COMOD® in addition to another medicinal treatment with eye drops, an interval of at least 30 minutes should be observed between applications. In this case, HYLO COMOD® should be administered last. However, if an eye ointment has also been prescribed, apply it to the conjunctival sac after using HYLO COMOD®.
What can I do myself to relieve my eyes?
A healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet rich in nutrients and vital substances, a daily fluid intake of at least two liters of water, and sufficient sleep form the basis for healthy eyes. Avoid typical causes of dry eyes as much as possible, such as prolonged stays in air-conditioned and overheated rooms, drafts, cigarette smoke, or fine dust. Give your eyes a break more often – especially if you sit in front of a computer all day for professional reasons. Regular breaks during screen work, targeted oxygen supply by ventilating office and living spaces, and walks in the fresh air can refresh tired and strained eyes. As a contact lens wearer, you should not exceed the recommended wearing time for your vision aids; wearing glasses on some days provides eye rest. In addition, moisturizing eye drops help with red, burning, or itchy eyes throughout the day. The HYLO® product family offers a versatile range of eye moistening agents for every degree of dry eye – from a fresh kick for in-between to intensive care for severe symptoms that may be accompanied by signs of inflammation or impairment of the eye surface.
