Product Description

A.Vogel Prostasan® capsules contain 320 mg of thick extract from saw palmetto fruit per capsule and are intended for adult men aged 18 and over.

What is the product intended for?

Prostasan® is used for the supportive treatment of mild urinary discomfort in men due to an initial enlargement of the prostate.

This includes, in particular:

• frequent urge to urinate during the day

• nocturnal urge to urinate

• weakening of the urinary stream

• post-void dribbling

If symptoms do not improve after 4 to 8 weeks or worsen, consult your doctor.

Application and Dosage

Adult men aged 18 and over:

1 capsule once daily.

Take the capsule whole with some water after a meal.

A treatment cycle lasts 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the severity of the symptoms.

Ingredients / Composition

The active ingredient is thick extract from saw palmetto fruit.

1 capsule contains 320 mg of thick extract from saw palmetto fruit (Sabalis serrulatae fructus).

Drug-extract ratio: 9–12:1.
Extraction solvent: Ethanol 96% V/V.

Other ingredients: gelatin, glycerol, sorbitol solution 70%, yellow, red and black iron oxide (E 172) and purified water.

Side effects / Tolerability

Like all medicines, this medicine can have side effects, but not everyone experiences them.

The medicine should not be taken if you are hypersensitive to saw palmetto fruit or any of the other ingredients.

Important Notes

• For adult men aged 18 and over only.

• Take the capsule whole with some water after a meal.

• If symptoms do not improve after 4 to 8 weeks or worsen, consult your doctor.

• Urinary discomfort can have various causes and should be medically clarified, especially if the symptoms persist or worsen.
