What are PROSPAN® Cough Lozenges and what are they used for?
Prospan® Cough Lozenges are a herbal medicinal product for loosening mucus in coughs associated with colds.

Prospan® Cough Lozenges facilitate expectoration, relax the bronchial muscles and thus soothe the cough.

With fruity orange flavor

• Sugar-free
• Alcohol-free
• Lactose-free
• Gluten-free
• Vegan

How to take Prospan® Cough Lozenges?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:

Adults and adolescents from 12 years:
1 lozenge every 1 to 2 hours maximum 6 lozenges per day

Children from 4 to 11 years:
1 lozenge every 2 to 3 hours maximum 4 lozenges per day.

Use in children
Prospan® Cough Lozenges are not suitable for children under 4 years.

Method of administration:
For oral use (lozenge).

Prospan Cough Lozenges can be sucked regardless of meals.

Duration of use:
If you do not feel better or even worse after 1 week, consult your doctor.

If you have taken more Prospan® Cough Lozenges than you should
In case of overdose, gastrointestinal irritation (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) or restlessness may occur. The symptoms are reversible upon discontinuation of the preparation.

Consult your doctor.

If you have forgotten to take Prospan® Cough Lozenges
Do not take double the amount if you have forgotten the previous dose.

What Prospan Cough Lozenges contain

The active ingredient is: dry ivy leaf extract.
1 lozenge contains 26 mg of dry extract from ivy leaves (drug to extract ratio 5 – 7.5 : 1; extractant: ethanol 30 % (m/m))

The other ingredients are:
Maltitol solution, gum arabic, citric acid, acesulfame potassium, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing), medium-chain triglycerides, orange flavor, menthol flavor, purified Water.
