What is Desloratadin Genericon and what is it used for?
Desloratadin Genericon contains desloratadine, which belongs to the antihistamine class. Desloratadin Genericon is an anti-allergic medicine that does not make you drowsy. It helps control your allergic reaction and its symptoms.

Desloratadin Genericon improves the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal passages caused by an allergy, e.g., hay fever or house dust mite allergy) in adults and adolescents aged 12 and over. These symptoms include sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy palate, and itchy, red, or watery eyes.

Desloratadin Genericon is also used to relieve symptoms associated with urticaria (a skin condition caused by an allergy). These include itching and hives.

The relief of these symptoms lasts for a whole day and helps you regain your normal daily activities and sleep.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 10 days, contact your doctor.

How to take Desloratadin Genericon?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist.

Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults and adolescents (aged 12 and over)
Take one film-coated tablet once daily.

Method of administration
Swallow the film-coated tablet whole with water, during or between meals.

Duration of treatment
The duration of treatment depends on the type, duration, and course of your symptoms.
Consult a doctor if your symptoms persist or worsen.
The treatment of intermittent allergic rhinitis (symptoms occur less than 4 days per week or last less than 4 weeks) depends on your previous medical history, can be stopped when symptoms subside, and resumed if they reappear.

If your allergic rhinitis is persistent (symptoms occur 4 or more days per week and last more than 4 weeks), longer-term treatment is recommended.

For urticaria, the duration of treatment may vary from patient to patient. Therefore, you must follow your doctor's instructions.

If you have taken more Desloratadin Genericon than you should have
No serious problems are to be expected with an accidental overdose. If you have taken more Desloratadin Genericon than you should, contact your doctor, pharmacist, or healthcare professional immediately.

If you forget to take Desloratadin Genericon
If you forget to take your dose on time, take it as soon as possible and then follow the normal treatment schedule again. Do not take a double dose if you have forgotten the previous dose.
