Areas of application
For thinning tenacious secretions in diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tracts and to facilitate expectoration.
Aeromuc 600 mg soluble tablets are used in adults and adolescents aged 14 years and older; for use in children (from 6 years) and adolescents up to 14 years, the dosage should be reduced accordingly.

Dosage, method and duration of use
For oral administration after dissolving.
According to the latest product information, Aeromuc is lactose-free and can be taken independently of meals. It is important to drink plenty of water throughout the day after taking it so that the mucolytic can work effectively and the dissolved mucus can drain well.

Adults and adolescents aged 14 and older
For acute and chronic diseases, 1 soluble tablet once daily (preferably in the morning) or 1/2 soluble tablet twice daily.
For children (from 6 years) and adolescents under 14 years, the tablet can be divided along the score lines. The standard daily dose for children from 6 and
adolescents up to 14 years of age is 300 to 400 mg acetylcysteine. For 400 mg acetylcysteine, other acetylcysteine-containing medicinal products are available.
Children from 2 to 6 years
For children under 6 years, dosage forms with lower concentrations should be used.
Dosage in renal and/or hepatic insufficiency
In severe renal or severe hepatic insufficiency, the maintenance dose should be reduced accordingly or the dosing interval extended.
The duration of use should not exceed 4-5 days without medical advice.

Composition
1 soluble tablet contains: Acetylcysteine 600 mg
Other ingredients: 20.0 mg aspartame (E 951) /tablet and 145.1 mg sodium/tablet as sodium bicarbonate.

Note:
The mucolytic effect of acetylcysteine is supported by fluid intake.
