Salicylic acid supports the absorption of light Ichthyol into the skin due to its pH-lowering effect.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAKNICHTHOL® - Lotion is used to reduce the number of comedones in mild to moderate acne vulgaris.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHow to use AKNICHTHOL® - Lotion?\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/strong\u003eAlways use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAdults and adolescents from 12 years:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\nUnless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, AKNICHTHOL® - Lotion is applied twice daily. Clean the affected skin areas twice daily, morning and evening, using a soap-free skin cleanser and pat dry gently. \u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nShake the bottle well, apply approx. 20 drops of the lotion to a swab and spread it evenly over the skin so that the affected skin areas are lightly covered. In the beard area, apply the lotion in the direction of beard growth. Eyelids and lips should not be treated. \u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nThe duration of treatment depends on the type and extent of the disease.
